What is Rehluchs Finance?
Rehluchs Finance is a free personal finance manager and budget app in the browser. You track income and expenses, plan your monthly budget, follow savings goals and investments and see analytics and forecasts – optionally together with your family.
Is Rehluchs Finance really free?
Yes. There are no fees, no subscription and no ads. The app is funded through affiliate links: if you buy a product for a savings goal through a marked link, the operator earns a small commission. Your price does not change.
How secure is my financial data?
All financial data is encrypted directly in your browser with AES-256-GCM before it is sent to the server. The key is derived from your password (PBKDF2 with 600,000 iterations) and never leaves your device. The connection is additionally encrypted with HTTPS.
Can the operator see my data?
No. The server only stores encrypted data. Neither the operator nor anyone with database access can read amounts, descriptions, categories or savings goals. Only technical details such as your email address and sign-in times are visible.
What happens if I forget my password?
When you register you receive a recovery key. With it you can set a new password at any time without losing data. Without password and recovery key the data cannot be restored – that is the flip side of true end-to-end encryption.
Do I have to connect my bank account?
No. You can enter everything manually. Bank import is optional: where available, it fetches transactions via PSD2 (through the licensed service Enable Banking), categorises them and stores them encrypted. The app never sees your banking credentials.
Can I use the app with my family or partner?
Yes. You can create a family vault and invite members by email. Each member receives the shared key encrypted for them. Roles define who may manage, write or only read.
Does Rehluchs Finance work on my phone?
Yes. The app runs in any modern browser on phone, tablet and computer and adapts to the screen size. You can install it like an app via “Add to home screen” – no app store needed.
How do savings goals work?
Enter the target amount and what you have already saved, then set either a monthly amount or a target date. The app calculates the other value, shows your progress and when you will probably reach the goal. You can optionally link a product.
Can I track recurring payments?
Yes. Every income or expense can recur – daily, weekly, monthly or yearly with any interval (e.g. every 3 weeks or every 2 years) and an optional end date. Yearly costs such as insurance are spread across the months in your budget.
Where is my data stored?
On a server in Germany. Because the content is end-to-end encrypted, no readable financial data is stored there. There is no tracking and no third-party content – not even external fonts.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. In the settings you can export all data as JSON or your transactions as CSV (e.g. for Excel) – decrypted right in your browser. You can also delete your account completely at any time.
Which languages does Rehluchs Finance support?
Currently German and English. You can switch the language at any time in the settings or at the top of the page.
